Desperation narrows your focus, the roar of the flames like a countdown in your ears. With trembling hands, you fumble for the explosive in your pack—a crude device salvaged from a bandit raid. With a quick glance at Ace, you can see the understanding in his eyes: this is it. You're playing with fire, both literally and figuratively. You yank the pin and hurl the explosive toward the Abomination.

Time seems to slow as the device arcs through the air, its trajectory imperfect but true enough. It lands at the creature's feet, a heartbeat later and the world erupts. The explosion is a thunderous cacophony, the shockwave knocking you off your feet, your ears ringing as debris rains down around you.

The Abomination, caught in the epicenter, is ripped apart, chunks of flesh and bone scattering. But the blast's fury is indiscriminate. The forest trembles, trees splinter and fall, adding their own chaos to the maelstrom. The impact leaves you breathless, your vision swimming as you struggle to regain your bearings.

But there's no time to assess the damage. A new threat emerges from the smoke—a zombie horde, drawn by the noise and blood. You and Ace lock eyes, understanding that survival now means facing this new wave amidst the burning hellscape you've created.
