EDGE OF THE ABYSS

CHAPTER 125: EDGE OF THE ABYSS
Your fingers latch onto the crumbling ledge as you extend your other hand towards the driver, urgency in your voice. "Take my hand!" you yell, the roar of destruction almost drowning your words. The driver hesitates only for a heartbeat before grasping your outstretched hand. Gritting your teeth, you muster all your strength, pulling him up to the unstable safety of the ledge.

The ground beneath your feet shudders violently, threatening to throw you both into the dark chasm below. You steady yourself, feeling the jagged concrete dig into your skin. The driver's weight adds to the strain, but his life is now inextricably linked to your grip.

Just as he reaches stable footing, a deafening crack reverberates through the air, and the earth beneath you shifts again. Without warning, the ledge gives way, sending you both plunging down a narrow slope. Panic surges as you desperately claw for something—anything—to stop your fall.

With a stroke of luck, your hand snags a twisted metal beam protruding from the rubble, halting your descent. The driver isn't as fortunate. He slides further, his terrified eyes locking onto yours. "Help!" he cries out, voice echoing through the chaos.

You're hanging on by a thread, every muscle screaming in protest. Below, the driver flails, scraping against the concrete. The sheer drop looms ominously, a cruel reminder of the stakes. The world above continues to crumble, each passing second an eternity in the apocalypse.
All Choices That Were Available:
  • 1. 😇 Risk your life further by climbing down to help the driver up.
  • 2. 😈 Let the driver fend for himself, focusing on saving your own skin.
  • 3. Use your last grenade to create a makeshift anchor, hoping it holds.
  • 4. Try to stabilize yourself and devise a plan to save both of you.
