⚡ Decision that led to this chapter:
Place the rusted pipe between the door handles to trap the Abomination inside with you, then taunt it into a reckless charge.
You motion to the survivor, and his eyes widen as he understands your plan. With a swift movement, you both slam the rusted pipe between the door handles. The makeshift barricade holds, trapping the Abomination inside the crumbling store with you. Its grotesque silhouette fills the doorway, a collage of sinew and rage.
"Hey, ugly!" you shout, waving your arms to draw its attention. The monster's eyes, clouded with fury, fixate on you. It charges, a whirlwind of doom barreling towards you. At the last moment, you dive aside, feeling the air shudder as the creature crashes into the counter, splintering wood and sending debris flying.
The survivor picks up a shard of glass, poised to defend himself. You scramble to your feet, your mind racing for a strategy as the Abomination howls, shaking off the wreckage. The store’s confined space offers little advantage, but the clutter could slow the beast down—if only for a moment.
With every stomp it takes, the floor beneath quakes, dust cascading from the ceiling. You lock eyes with the survivor, both aware of the building's unstable state; one wrong move could bring it all down on top of you.
As the creature regains its composure and turns its baleful gaze back towards you, you realize you must act swiftly. The walls close in, the air thick with anticipation and fear.
